Young Labor with former Prime Minister, Gough Whitlam

Australian Young Labor (AYL) is the youth wing of the Australian Labor Party and includes all ALP members under the age of 26. As a young member of the ALP you are automatically a part of this exciting group.

AYL runs its own campaigns as well as being actively involved with many other areas of the Party. If you are someone who wants to make a difference you should play an active role in Young Labor. You can take part in Labor’s vision for a fairer, more equitable Australia first hand through local campaigns.

In the coming year AYL will be involved in:

• Running a youth program at the ALP State Conference;
• Mock Youth Parliament;
• Policy forums and making young people heard through the rest of the Party; and
• Regular social events so you can meet other like minded people, MPs and Party Officials.

With a regular e-newsletter and an active discussion email list, there is always something going on in Young Labor to interest you. Young Labor holds monthly meetings on the 3rd Sunday of the month, discussing areas of policy relevant to young people and the wider community as well as up coming election campaigns.
