As Assistant State Secretary, Bill also worked on the ALP's 1998 Federal Election Campaign in WA, which saw four marginal seats won by the Party. He was also the Assistant Campaign Director for the ALP's successful campaign for the 2001 State Election.
In addition to this, Bill worked as a Campaign Manager on seats in the 1997 South Australian and the 1999 New South Wales State Elections.
